Visual Practice Workshop
The World Economic Forum’s New Vision for Agriculture (NVA) initiative, which engages over 120 senior practitioners and experts, addresses the major challenges of global food and agricultural sustainability based on a vision of agriculture as a positive contributor to food security, environmental sustainability and economic opportunity.
The community connects stakeholders, facilitating the exchange of insights for actionable solutions. Members of the Transformation Leaders Network include country-led public-private partnerships in Africa, Asia and Latin America; companies from food and agriculture, finance, logistics, IT/telecoms, and other industries; government representatives; farmers associations; civil society organizations; donor agencies; international organizations; and academic and research institutions.
On October 21st-23rd 2014, network members gathered for the annual Transformation Leaders Workshop. Here are some photos from the event.
The Value Web collaborated with the WEF facilitating and designing the workshop, which lead to action plans for partnerships, insights and next steps for thematic working groups. Participants, who had the opportunity to have in-depth discussions, also reported important yet less tangible outcomes from the workshop, such as an increased sense of trust, support and empowerment.
See below: the Value Web team also mapped self-reported meaningful connections in the network before (left-hand side) and halfway through (right-hand side) the workshop.
Here you can download the initiative’s roadmap, whereas here you can have a look at the Summary Report.
