The Circle promises a virtual plenary with the feel of an in-person experience.
How does it work and what does it mean for blended events?
“A virtual plenary and a real one with no borders.”
“Finally, I can host a virtual meeting with hundreds of participants and look them in the eyes like if we were on zoom in 10.”
The Circle has been developed by a film production agency and a fellow member of The Value Web. It has been designed to host large online or blended (online/in-person) plenaries of up to 500 participants (and more!). The Circle promises the benefit of a normal reporting plenary process, better interactions, and an easier engagement of the audience.
While we’ll investigate what’s really behind The Circle and if/how it could be helpful for us, we’ll take this trigger to have a meaningful conversation around this relatively new world of “blended” gatherings.
Is this the new wave? Is it a real need, or is it just another buzzword? What exactly is going to change compared to meetings B.C. (before covid)? Which set of skills are required? Is technology a key element, and how? How do we have to adapt the session design to this new scenario?
