For the 3rd year in a row, The Value Web supported The Kauffman Foundation’s efforts to build a new model for community and economic development, reverse the decades-long decrease in entrepreneurship in America, and remove the barriers that many participants in our economy experience.
The 2019 ESHIP Summit brought together entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ecosystem builders — leaders working across social and economic systems— connecting communities to support equitable entrepreneurship. The summit intentionally overlaps with the annual Mayors Conference on entrepreneurship, bringing mayors, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem builders together to promote startup activity and encourage higher levels of entrepreneurship in local communities. Over 100 mayors have committed to concrete steps proven to promote entrepreneurship locally. ESHIP participants designed and signed up to dozens of prototype initiatives in support of the emergent field of Ecosystem-building.
The Value Web created a custom environment and process through which participants could engage in conversation and rapid iteration design work. We debuted a new kind of space to showcase data and work in small groups on a large surface.
