How might we use coaching skills to foster solutions for the most pressing challenges of our present and future?
Come join us in this 90-minute workshop to explore coaching skills as tools to create joyful and meaningful impact.
Join us on for this dynamic and highly participatory coaching skills workshop.
Coaching is defined as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential” (International Coaching Federation, 2021). Coaching begins with a partnership, evolves into a rhythm, and ultimately leads to action. When coaching is used in the right setting, it can be a powerful tool to unlock what is possible.
Yiely is inspired by the Co-Active Coaching Model, a coaching methodology that balances the paradoxical nature of being and doing. By applying deep listening skills, powerful questions, and the coaching architecture, this model evokes transformation by deepening learning and forwarding action. Co-Active Coaching is a model that allows action to surface from nonlinear emergent processes of change in individuals, teams, and organizations.
Inspired by the Co-Active model, we will use the duality of being and doing to further ideas that emerged in The Value Web’s “Becoming a Better Ancestor” discussion series. How might we use coaching skills to foster solutions for the most pressing challenges of our present and future? In this dynamic and highly participatory workshop, we will:
Form a deeper connection with other change makers and shakers.
Define and clarify what is and what is not coaching.
Explore how coaching skills might enhance our current and future projects and other areas of practice.
Consider how deep listening, powerful questions, and acknowledgement — skills that are universal to many fields of inquiry and practice — might empower us in meeting the challenges of our present and future.
Questions we will explore are:
What value might coaching skills bring to your life and business?
How might coaching skills augment the work you already do?
What big change do you see on the horizon?
Who do you want to be in this change?
How might coaching skills support you?
What we will do: This workshop is designed to explore coaching skills and how it might augment other fields of work and inquiry. We will practice coaching skills and deepen our collective learning through group discussion.
What we will not do: This workshop is not designed to provide training in the Co-Active Coaching Model or any other model of coaching. We are using the Co-Active Coaching Model as inspiration for a conversation only. We will practice deep listening skills, powerful questions, and acknowledgment – skills that are universal to many fields of inquiry and practice. For those who might be interested in pursuing a coaching designation, we are happy to provide resources for training schools if this is of interest.
