Description:

In the past year, I have been struck by how many clients are asking similar questions: How can our organization become more collaborative? How can we get rid of these silos and establish more collaborative ways of working across functions? What conditions and practices are most conducive to collaboration? What gets in the way and how can we overcome these obstacles? To these questions, I would add: What are some common misconceptions about collaboration?

Assembling a Collaborative Culture is a workshop series designed to explore these and other pressing questions. Each session will center on a specific case study, offering participants practical insights and actionable strategies.

The first workshop in the series will examine the collaborative culture known as the Facilitation Team (or KreW) within Matt and Gail Taylor’s methodology. What did Matt and Gail envision as the Facilitation Team’s purpose within the DesignShop system, both at the meta and functional levels? How was this revolutionary? What characteristics, principles, and pattern language help assemble and foster the collaborative culture aligned to that purpose?

Join us for a rich exchange of insights, experiences, and practical learnings that you can apply to your own collaborative practice. We look forward to seeing you there!
