Having worked together for 11 years, The Value Web and the Forum have grown together into a strong community. Perhaps tribe is a better word!
In 2005 we worked with a team of friends and mentors to meet a daunting mandate: create something with Forum leaders that is fresh, relevant and fit to address the complex issues of our times. We’ve practiced a lot together, that is for sure, and the Forum has asked us and helped us to re-tool to strategically guide initiatives and the building of new communities.
Many of our experiments were great successes; others struggled to ‘stick the landing’. All of that learning felt additive this year, as though something tipped. More and more world leaders and Forum leaders are talking about purpose-led collaboration, and objectives with a penchant toward action.
The day after Davos, the 15-strong Value Web team gathered and reflected on how lucky we are to do this kind of purpose-based work. Side-by-side with Forum leaders, we are defining ways to take the tagline seriously. 11 years after our first Davos, after designing thousands of sessions, including more than 40 last week in Davos, we feel like we have moved into a space, that enables us to keep a laser sharp focus on ‘Improving the State of the World.’
In the following week you will be able to read some of the insights from our team in Davos.
